Social Media Strategy Manager | Client Side | Melbourne

An iconic financial services company is seeking a Social Media Strategy Manager to develop and manage their social media presence and stimulate engagement with the online community. This position will work closely with the Marketing Communications department to create long-form and short-form content, monitor and engage with online conversation while maintaining existing social media presence and standards, and aligning with strategy and branding.

Tasks assigned to the Social Media Strategy Manager will include:

  • Developing social media marketing content and monitoring trends to develop a proactive strategy
  • Developing a content strategy to stimulate customer engagement and conversation in the online community
  • Developing social video strategy and identifying topics relevant to the needs of customers
  • Building out social media management using social media best practices
  • Establishing processes to better manage and drive customer conversations on social media
  • Implementing social media tracking and reporting to maintain a clear realisation of goals via clear metrics
  • Growing the base of the company's engaged social community
  • Maintaining and increasing social customer satisfaction
  • Contributing to reputation for delivering engaging social content
  • Establishing processes to engage with and manage bloggers and influencers in the community

We will consider candidates with:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in marketing and/or corporate communications
  • 2+ years proven work experience in social media - client side or agency
  • Excellent written, creative and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organisation skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Analytic skills and experience with social tools such as Hootsuite and Radian6
  • Stakeholder management skills
